    Default Rokko's Choice-The Neptunes Special

What, you thought I wouldn't when I would?

    The Best:
Faith Evans feat. Missy Elliot-Burning Up.
Star Trak meets The Gold Mind in a Virginian meeting of the minds. Missy compliments the official July Neptunes anthem. The remix featuring Freeway doesn't come close to this.

    The Rest:
    Beenie Man/Janet-Feelin It
    Yes I am.

    LL Cool J-Love U Better
Produced in the more minimalist style the 'tunes seem to be headed since "Grindin" appeared on our streets.

The Clipse feat NORE/Big Tymers-Grindin Remix
5 months down the line out comes the remix which further builds the anticipation of their debut LP "Lord Willin" (Tuesday August 20th, 2002)

Also making the rounds are tracks they've produced/remixed for:

    Britney Spears/N.E.R.D.-Boys (Remix)
Alicia Keys-How Come You Don't Call Me (The Neptunes Remix)
    Nivea-???
    Beyonce-Work It Out

    In non-Neptunes news:

Mystikal is out on bail after being held on $$$$ charges. Iwon't even get into this.

Cam'ron apologized for 'coming out of his character' towards Nas when he spoke harsh things of his mother and daughter. However he maintains that the beef is not dead.

Kelly Price, *Sauce Money, and another party are currently suing P.Diddy for unpaid compensation for writing a significant portion of No Way Out.

*Sauce who? He penned "I'll Be Missing You" for Puff. Hear his work on Jay-Z's LPs In My Lifetime Vol 1 and Vol 2 Hard Knock Life as well as his own album Middle Finger U.

    In Neptunes news:

I love the hood cuz they put out a Neptunes Instrumentals MixCD. Friday (payday for yours truly) will be a lil bit sweeter.
Instrumentals from their biggest tracks and some choice cuts from Kelis' Wanderland LP.

Wanderland is currently bein re-tooled and will be released as Amphibious on Star Trak Entertainment in the US. So if you have Wanderland at the crib--just know that it will become just as an elusive LP as NERD's In Search Of...(Original Version).

    For Eclipse.

Lord Willin' The debut LP from The Clipse is out now in the US. Their current airplay single "When The Last Time" is being played on anything that has speakers. The video is out there too. I haven't seen it but I heard Kelis (I love her) does the standard Star Trak cameo.

Sean Paul appears on a 3rd version of Grindin called the Selector remix on a Bonus track of the album.

I thought it was too much. I haven't seen the CD for the album but I happened across the vinyl doublepack 10 days ago. 3 versions of one tune is NOT a good thing.

In 1998 they recorded an LPs worth of songs for Elektra(their first label).
Their stint for the label produced nothing you can get from your local shop.
In 1999 tho it was sent to magazine reviewers/mom and pop shops with the title Exclusive Audio Footage. You can find it on the net if you look hard enough.

Hear Me Now--the inst. later became "knock yourself out" last year.

Breakfast In Cairo---another track from those sessions ive heard about.

Luckily some of this get explained in this months XXL (2Pac Tribute cover[ugh!])
