    Nas/Jay-Z/Hot 97SummerJam2002....The Drama Continues

Rumor has it that Jigga got Nas kicked off of SummerJam last nite in New York.

He expressed his anger on rival station Power 105. I didn't hear his rant but those who did said that he was bare pissed.

    A word from Hot 97

Why nas Chose NOT to perform at Summer Jam 2002

By now everyone knows that Nas did not perform at Summer Jam. The big question is why and we want to set the record straight. Nas chose not to perform on Summer Jam due to the following reason:

    1. Nas wanted to pretend lynch another artist on stage in front of 16,000 people some of which, included children. We as a radio station feel we have a responsibility to it's audience and could not condone this type of violence. We explained to Nas from the very beginning our postion on this but the day of the show he decided to do it attempt to continue with this action. We could not let this happen because we have to much respect for you our audience and other artists. We of course would not mind a verbal battle, that is hip hop, but a stimulated lynching is way to violent and something we cannot stand behind. We lost too many artists to violence and cannot tolerate this action on Summer Jam.

Please believe us when we say we share in your disappointment in Nas not performing. We would like to thank all the artists who did such a great job. And we want to thank you, our listeners for supporting HOT 97 and for supporting hip hop.

    Thank you,

    HOT 97

it makes to diss a rapper on their own beat---one with so much fury in the track u can feel the violins in ya soul.

Anyways Power105 are benefiting from this trust me. Damon Dash made a statement this afternoon (July 1st 2002) on Angie Martinez's show on Hot97. It will be replayed for those that missed it Tuesday afternoon.
Manny, I'm gonna tape DJ Clue's show for you tonite.

Yes it is Sean (as Mega and Nature don't get on with Nas no more)

New line up will most prob b :

    Nas
    AZ the Visualizer
    Foxxy Brown

Not sure about Cam'ron being big when he first came out in on a solo tip in 98' (remember that he's Mase's cousin and was in a crew with Mase, McGruff and the great Big L and could of blown up big tyme with them but the all went there seperate ways).

Plus he also had two heavy tracks out @ the tyme (Magnum 357 and the classic Horse and Carriage - i so hated that track the first few tymes i heard it LOL - wondered what the hype was about )

Big was setting a cru b4 he die that would of had Cam'ron (i think - i'm not too sure), Jay-Z and Charli' Baltimore in it .

There name .................. THE COMMISSION and i think that they would of proper smashed it, if they did get together .

I don't think Ma$e/Cam'ron are related but I do kno that they knew each other since they played basketball together.
That crew was called The Children Of The Corn bak when Ma$e was Mase Murder.

If the commesion were formed BIG would have been by far the best rapper there and would stand out like a bad thumb. If they ever did an album, it would have been very average as the others would have brought BIG down.
