Not too sure how well this one is gonna drop. I'm not convinced it should be released commercially. I can't realy see Dizzee Rascal ripping it up on TOTP!

it's being put back 'til May 26th and already the mainstream press are jumping all over it, Jo Whiley has played it on Radio 1....big big big tune
Miss C, 'jumping all over it' - in a good way or bad way? Yeah, it's heavy, but don't fink it will succeed - especially when you consider MJ Cole only reached No. 30!
It will be Top 5 no problem. You forget that MJ Cole has had no support, is on a much smaller label, and that 4/4 garage is no longer what kids like. I would say there's a fair chance that this will be No 1.
Jumping all over it, as in everyone wants a slice, he's fresh and new. Personally i think the reaction from press will be similar to that experienced with The Streets. MJ Cole had the problem as El said of being an 'older artist'. 2nd albums are always a hard area (look at Craig David) but i think it's unfair to judge Coles success on the single. Record companies don't care so much about that anymore, all about albums. Un-Cut are another example of $$$$ed upness - their single didn't do very well but they're one of the best new uk talents i've heard for time.
it will be interesting put it that way and i don't see anything wrong with it (just wish they were all asking me to do the stories ha ha).
not sure which version for def, but think it was I Love U original radio edit
i think the more rnb'y version of it would do better
personally disagree, think its the rawness of the original that make it so hype
yeah for sure dizzy will have his 5 minutes of fame then drift off into that distant land where all one hit wonders are laid to rest...
^^^ ermm yeah ok ill take that bet - how much u willing to part with?
on a serious note are you saying that dizzy has enough commercial appeal to actually say have 5 releases which could go top 20 in the uk charts?
its all about the staying power missc...
you said one hit wonder. I disagree.
The point is nowadays longevity has got $$$$ to do with singles, sales are so minor that they don't generate much money, therefore it's in merchandising, albums and global appeal.
I don't think Dizzee will release I Love You and disappear. As for single success after it would depend totally on marketing and the choice of track. But i do think hes around for a while, but i also think Wiley has the skill and diveristy to get even further.
dizzee is gully people will buy his $$$$.
not if hes producing his beats him self, or using wileys beats...
there not commercial enough... all thought the rnb beats are quite good (you were always n i luv u remix)
he is selling out an going comercial. wen he should keep it underground. hopefully it will b a flop and then he will realise he should have kept it underground.
selling out is one of the funniest expressions ever...like u wouldnt if u had the chance
and to quote (who i'm not sure) "selling out is surely when u make stuff to please others and not yourself"
wiley n dizzee have always said they make music they like. And wiley is versatile enough to make a lot of music - he says himself in interviews he doesnt like Nicoles Groove hence why he makes what he does now.
I really cant understand why people make comments like this.Originally posted by MC Nemesis

At the end of the day, Dizzee will be able to make alot more money with commercial success. Why would he want to stay underground? For respect? He already has respect in the underground circuit and now he has the oppurtunity to make good money.
Some people will say- 'But it is about the music, not about selling out' Everyone will go through a stage of working 'for the love of it' which I have done in DJ work, but that does not pay bills- simple.
Good luck to him.
Yeah, I agree wiv that actually - bout the kids liking the heavy garage now. I just cant c him having more than one single. Isn't his stuff a bit too raw - a bit too rude - for the charts?
Yeah, he's different, and he will appeal to sum1, but I can't see the commercial charts really going this way in the long-run. I'll bet on that too Miss C![]()
personally (and i dont wanna admit to this) i think it will be a number 1 hit, i think the media will jump on this tune, negative or postive feedback will mean seriouse promotion. And for whichever image dizzy chooses to portray, this is positive.
however much i hate the tune i must admit it will do well in my opinion, will it be classed as garage though?
