M8 i think u wud find that your arrangement method wouldnt benefit u in court 1 bit... but if u wanna believe it will then its up 2 u entirely... dont b whinigin on here when u r left stung by bootleggers...

I could EASILY chop Pulse X up and arrange it in Cubase so it sounds identical 2 the original... no problem wot so eva...

Iv been studying music for about 4-5 years now its not like im just reading a magazine and telling u what iv read..i no people who hav experienced this aswell...

There will be faults in your Pulse X version, regarding sound, and sample edits. In other words, people would see that you doctored it. I'm not saying that the tracks can't get bootlegged, but I am saying, having the 'plans & architecture', of a track, can only do you good, in a court case. My comments are mainly targeted at the 'Hindzey' case, against R.D.

    MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN...

This is 2 long... SILO stick 2 ya method but u will come unstuck believe me...

Having the arrangement stands for jack sh!t... its not a solid format and ther is no proof of when u did it...

If hindzey had of copywritten the track like i said he would of been saved...

    END OF...

i agree with dj silo... i'm not sayin don't bother sending your track to yourself... but you must also keep all the audio mixdowns that you made before the final edit.

I know you can set a computer clock and all that, but ive many copies of the tracks ive worked on in various stages of production and the cds are marked with a date... also, as silo said, ive all the program settings, all the synths and all the drum sounds seperately.

Also when i sent out a track a while ago i sent a letter aswell, naming the track and announcing that it was mine...i.e.

    "please accept my track,
    'SSTUTTER - Track Name'"

I kept a copy of the letter aswell, and you probably think all this means $$$$ in a 'musical court' (where no doubt they all sing)... but its more than the person tryin to rip me of has.

i also think what lucky strike said was good... if you find yourself in that situation then you have no choice but to get a solicitor... you might aswell pay.

feel sorry for hindzey, sounds like he was shafted by someone he trusted... you always hear stories about bands and groups who work together and get robbed my members within the group.. i think a simular thing happened to musical mob.

What can you do in a situation like that? they may have been in the studio at the time they made it?
