The correct term for this style of music would be: tech step or 8 bar. grime posseses all of the properties of tech step except that it has some twát chatting bóllocks over it.

Grime has been done before, back then it was called ghetto techno and was an offspin from miami bass. The sound was big in the US clubs that played miami bass. Thankfully the sound never made it in the uk but there is 1 club in china town that plays it.

Most ghetto techno tunes had an 8 bar structure.

Ghetto techno dropped at 140 - 145bpm. Grime is 140bpm

Ghetto techno is based on the miami bass drum pattern. Grime is based on a well, i dont know.

Rather than rapping ghetto techno always had samples of southern american black women saying things like
"theres a hore in this house theres a whore in this house"
"spank my booty tonight, come on come on ah ah, spanky my booty tonight, come on ah ah come on"
"shake yo ass you freaky thing yo" " lick my pússy............. lick my pússy..........bítch"

Ghetto techno súcked, grime súcks.

Anybody in the techno scene will deny the existance of ghetto techno.

Ghetto techno was better produced than grime, it was made with limited / cheap drum machines (supposidly in the ghetto's), certain grime producers have access to million pound recording studios and still make rubbish

Grime is fine in small doses. Dont think many ppl go around calling themselves ''Grime DJ'' but there u go. might say they play garage, bass line stuff or filth, it is a term that fits the music well.
