    Default FAO: Pirate Radio DJs

I was listening to Sarah Finesse on 92.3FM this AM, and she had a heavy selection. I was enjoyin most of them classics.

    BUT

HER MIXING WAS POOR! Not ONE BEAT MATCHED.

This has been going on for a long time. I remember when u had to mix krissness to get on pirate, now all u need is records!

    So heres my gripes:

    • please beat match the incoming tune in ur headfones properly and not bring it in until its ready

    • dont ride tunes after the intro. it used to be good back in the day, but with good tunes far and few between, I like to savour each tune separately before the sets done.

    • dont BRING IN UR TUNE TOO EARLY. It pisses me off that 5 secs after a drop, u think u can bring in a next tune. I wanna hear the tune, usually, not ur mix or clang. Let the set flow. Its a set of tunes not mixes. Please let the tune play for at least 1 min 30, or until it gets to the breakdown or somewhere.

    • if the tunes going offbeat and u cant deal with it, please just lock off the outcomin tune, no matter where u r in the mix. if u cant ride the mix to the drop, u jus cant, tough. dont lemme be hearing alll clangments and screetching and coaxing.

Having said all that, Im CRAP but I would make an EFFORT not to do all of the above.

I like to savour each tune separately before the sets done (with the Ps2 productions? no its best to play 1min of each tune and there for get create less boredem)

erm well lets jus say she plays exactly what shes feeling, which is good, but i didnt hear much good mixing - now I mised most of the show but all i remember was there was a tune I wanted to REMAKE/COPY/GET INSPIRATION FROM and the SERIES OF CLANGS AND OTHER THINGS ABOVE.

Na, the set wasnt PS2 productions btw, it was oldskool.

I cant rmbr when EZ has locked a tune quick - but then Ive never heard him LIVE except radio
If he locked a tune I was bubblin to, Id be screwing still. At least he wont clang in the process tho

I know what you're talking about. There are a couple of DJ's on Shine who are rubbish! It makes the station look bad, but nowadays the well established DJ's don't want to be associated with pirates anymore.
