    People think he is well good...but i dont...

    voice is low and draining, not loads of lyrics and repeats a lot.....

    shabba and skibba are miles ahead.....

    low and draining? sounds like a description of shabba to me. no lie.

    a find Det's voice more powerful than anybodys. the only thing i think hes lacking is lyric quantity.

    Det is old skool- his lyrics may still be the same, but at least the crowd can all sing along, as it were and he always gets the crowd hyped up.

    but im not meaning to start, just sayin the truth and that. it really does sound like a description of shabba to me.

    especially one JJ Frost set where shabba is on his own then Det comes on after. POWERFUL.

    His voice is fine & he gets them going most of the times. But you're right that he keeps on doing what he's doing for ages! He uses the same lyrics since my first tapes

    I used to think this.
    I've been listening to Kool FM since day one and rated everyone (Well.. cept a few).. now Dett I always had my doubts about.. I have disliked him for about 6 years until about 2 months ago when I was passed a tape of him and Skiba with Nicky Blackmarket B2B with Brockie..

    Dett & Skiba are one leathal B2B combo.
    I have never heard any MCs feed off each other quite so well.
    Dett is one of the old skool and all of his lyrics are classic. He is an entertainer.. 'B with the R with the O,C,K,I,E' 'Brock, Brock, Brock, BRRRRROOOOOCCCKKKKIIIEEEE'....

    I beg you to go and see him live. He will hype any crowd up. Okay, so he seems standard on the radio BUT live @ a club he will smash it.

    det and skibba is the orignal combo man from the kool fm days and all that,alongside your usual skibba/shabba mixture and of course MCMC and HyperD b2b sickness!!. Quality MC.

    boy cannot test the man dett at a rave - the energy that guy puts out to the crowd is amazing! you just gotta see him and you are hooked.. mind, i been down on his lyrics since day one.... remember when they were fresh.........

    I stopped going Jungle, but went out to Jungle Fever and Heat at the Astoria, it was heavy and Mc Dett was wicked. Drum and Bass is serious about a big comeback.

    shabbas lyrics arent exactly brain surgery 'score two goal like ginola' and every time he cant think of a word he stutters more than gareth gates, which is every other sentence!!
