92p is probably the most random amount for a drink i've ever seen.

Easy Mozzy - the 92p drinks was before 11 - you guys arrived later (about 1ish).

Even that said - selected drinks were supposed to be £1.92 after 11 (including single jack d and coke). And the bar staff certainly over-charged me a few times too.

I paid £15.10 for 3 becks, 1 bud and a brandy and coke.

STILL ENUFF ABOUT THE DRINKS - THE NIGHT WAS HEAVY !! (you guys missed all the action - ask Mark and co. about how rammed it was on the video !!)

Going to put some video clips of the night up soon

Any more feedback from peepz that went last Thursday? We need all the pointers, opinions, and criticisms you guys have in order for us to make the night bigger and better. Obviously the first one being the drinks situation wasn't right...I know about as much as you guys, I need to find out what went wrong. But yeah leave all your feedback good and bad here!!

Im not gunna lie I personally hate having to get up 4 work/uni after raving on a Thursday...but theres alot of reasons why its favourable at this particular point in time.

    1) The music we're pushing is very specialist at the moment and therefore its hard to convince clubs to give you a prime weekend spot. My wish is that we become to big for a Thursday night and there is no alternative but to give us a Friday (that means gettin 500+ of you guys at the next one )

    2) Being that we're a night with no history or rep at the moment, its gunna be tricky to attract punters away from places like Lloyds. If our night bombed on a Friday it wud harm our reputation and also the clubs. We gotta prove ourselves a bit b4 the club have the confiedence to give us a Friday. Altough the busy nature of a Friday cud help us also...hmm

    3) Again our night and scene is very new and as yet hasn't reached a larger audience...the good thing about a Thursday is that we can offer you guys 92p a drink (the clubs thursday promotion) and similar offers like ladies free entry (this must have worked coz i saw nuff drunk happy people and nuff ladies dancing away).

But like I say our long term aim is to get this night on a Friday night in Croydon. I wanna steal bare customers from the 'cheese factory' club across the road from one92one (no Kevs or Garys tho they can keep them! jus gal coz I know nuff pretty girl likes to go to the previously mentioned bar in Croydon!). Its all about this music growing and showcasing the talent we have on our own doorstep, every other club in Croydon is just like people drinking to commercial radio turned up real loud...thats why I gotta lot of respect for one92one pushing nights that aint just the same old sh*t. All peepz on these types of forums can help the scene grow alot by simply reppin at nights like ours, like fwd, like the big apple sessions@loop etc. Get merry, chat to the opposite sex, have a dance and listen to some quality tunes made by home grown producers+spun by heavy DJs.

Hold tight for info on the next Filthy Dub should have some news VERY soon!

More feedback pleez we do listen...we're a young team of promoters willing to listen to any advice etc you may have...its all about progression!

I thought it was a good night, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, cheap drinks, nice venue & bad tunes.

I think its a brilliant way of introducing this music to a bigger audience.

ps. its good ur pushin the music u support and everythin im all for it but gotta think i little bit logically!!

I hear some of the things you're saying Pre$tige bro...

However - there were actually a lot of girls in there when you compare to other nights in the genre. Croydon was dead that thursday and I think we must have had about 60% of the younger generation that were out that night inside the club.

Truesay about the MC'ing. Even the DJ's who were spinning at the time were complaining of THEIR OWN MC's !! This is something we will work on for future events.

We don't plan on becoming the next Eskimo dance, we're concentrating more on the music. I think at the times when the MC's were hosting the tunes and bussin the odd lyric were the best times on the night - even the girls were dancing to the beats, as the video clips will prove later on in the week.

It is true what you're saying though - guys will follow girls. Hence letting ladies in for free. My job as part of the promotion is dealing with the music side of it. There is no way I'm going to book anyone who isn't grimy, or dubstep, or fwd or whatever you want to call it. I'm solely pushing that sound, trying to help broaden the audience. Girls don't like it at the moment mainly because they can't stand MC's - My girlfriend hates it but even she admitted to me on the night that she actually likes the music when she heard it just being hosted.

With a lot of hard work we'll make this night happen. I guarantee 80% of the people inside there would have left feeling they had a decent night and will return next month, with more people having heard through word of mouth that it was a good night.

I also am 90% sure that we'll continue to attract girls. The night was always being pushed as a strictly grimy, sublow, dubstep beats night. We also gave out 300 free CD's mixed by myself before the night, as part of the promotion - just to make it clear the sort of music to expect on the night !

We won't mislead anyone into thinking this is a garage night. Not once did we mention the word garage on the flyer, CD, poster or any press coverage.

    THIS IS NOT GARAGE.

I think Garage is well catered for in and around Croydon by nights like Curiosity at Pals on Saturday. We'll let them deal with your EZ's and Heartless Crews - There's no point in trying to compete with that on the budget we're currently running. And they do a good enough job as it is - we'll let them run that side of things.

Safe for your comments Prestige, we need all the criticism we can get to make this night work - and we've already made moves as far as MC'ing goes thanks to the feedback we've had so far. Unfortunately though the music policy is something i refuse to adhere to - I'm pushing this night because I really love the music. We lost a little money on the first night but i was extremely happy with the turn out and the vibe in the club. And that is more important to me than a bit of change. I know our music policy won't suit many folks, but there are hundreds of people who've been waiting for a night like this in Croydon for years ! I'm one of them

Big Up everyone - keep those comments coming !

trus say there was a lot of girls there. i did thik that and u no wat it was promoted a grimey beet night so i guess they do have a an interest init .. i also notice that everyone in there was up for it u could see they wanted to dance and that and at one point i think beginnin of ur set it looked like takin off but then kinda dwiddled away maybe coz of the mc.. the one on ur set wernt to tufff to b honest...but wat im sayin tho altho ur solely pumpin this music does there really need to be playin it all night long.???

ie u could do somethin different early and build up to the music u want ..coz then there waitin for it and by the time it comes on ie main event there wantin it .... ie if ez is ur main dj for a night ur not guna put on a dj who plays the same tunes jus b4 him takin the emphasis away coz people will be like hmmm jus heard all this ...

    somethin to think about....

oh and the mc ur describin u want is me funny enuff lol
