According to sources within his camp, Slim laid a good amount of the soundscapes for Obie Trice's spring debut and will soon be handing over the reins to Dr. Dre and Timbaland as that project, which also features Rockwilder beats, closes out.
Once the Obie LP is completed, Eminem then plans to work on D-12's second serving of tracks, due to drop this summer. According to sources within the Aftermath camp, Slim is planning to produce the majority of the tracks, as well as laying down his vocals for album.
As if Slim's summer wasn't busy enough, after announcing this year's leg of the Anger Management Tour will be focused on Japan and Europe, rumours also have it that Eminem will be taking time to work on a follow up to the highly succssful 'Get Rich Or Die Trying', by hopefully releasing a sophomore 50 Cent album by November.
The most recent artist to release multiple albums in a year, and become highly successful, was Ruff Ryder's DMX, who released his 3 albums, '...And Then There Was X', 'It's Dark And Hell Is Hot', and 'Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood' in the space of 19 months, and achieved quintuple, quadruple, and triple platinum success respectively.
As if that hasn't kept the Shady camp busy enough, there is also news of a Lloyd Banks' debut hitting the streets early August. Banks', a member of the G-Unit, will see his album being looked over by fellow G-Unit labelmate 50 Cent. With the album set to be released on the Interscope-distributed G-Unit Records, this looks set to be a busy year for Slim and his associates.
What are your views on the news of 50 bringing out his second commercially available album before his debut has hardly had time to settle down? Will it sustain the same amount as hype as 'Get Rich Or Die Trying'? And what have you people been thinking about the current Obie Trice and 50 Cent offerings?
