01 Lady Sovereign is the Wembley teenager who is now flying the British flag in the US and whose commitment to protecting the ‘hoodie’ top from moralising old fogies is earning her the respect of her generation.

02 Her next single is The Basement Jaxx produced track ‘Hoodie’ (Out November 21st), with the Mizz Beats remix of this song currently proving to be the hottest track at UK pirate radio.

03 Sovereign now performs with a full live band and over the last 12 months she’s been on tour with BASEMENT JAXX, GO! TEAM, D12 & THE STREETS. By the end of 2005 she will have played over 100 dates. Her UK tour starts on the 31st October at London’s ICA.

04 The interest from the US for Sovereign is virtually unheard of for a British artist: JAY Z, USHER and LA Reid have each already flown Lady Sovereign out to meet with them.

05 She’s also notched up more trans-atlantic air miles this year when she featured alongside both PUBLIC ENEMY & RUN-DMC at major US events. She begins her own US major city tour on 28th November in Boston.
