The Brightlights

'Brilliant debut single alert' - The Sunday Times

There seems no reason why The Brightlights couldn't follow in the footsteps of previous winners, Mercury nominated The Young Knives - Channel 4

The Brightlights are coming from Grimsby to the...er...bright lights, and it's a damn good thing. Teenage Yorkshire folk with guitars will always be compared to the Arctic Monkeys, but there's more of the Kings of Leon about that growling voice and marching guitar. No wonder they won the 'Road To V Festival' competition, and a slot on the main stage.

The Raid

“The Daily Star call us ‘snarling young rock’, Chris Wilson from The Mirror calls us ‘one to watch for 2008’.
Club NME quote ‘glorious guitar swamp’ and The Fly ‘straight up brilliant’. MTV2 have play-listed our first video.”

“It’s simple. We want it... and it wants us.”

The Manikees

We first heard about these boys during the Jim Gellatly’s XFM X-posure show. We knew straight away we had to book this band.

If you claim to have combined 'the best elements of Radiohead and The Pixies' and then 'built it upwards', you need to be pretty confident. Buddha Pests are pretty confident. And with good reason.
