Default new bands to recommend?

i would recommend pull tiger tail, cold war kids- the lead singer has got such a unique voice- and an australian band called starky, really good atmospheric indie.

Check out Seagull Strange. They are giving away a track at the moment:

I looked them up after hearing good things about them from some friends that saw them at a festival in Bristol.

Thanks Chris, I just stumbled across this site, and already that link lead me to one of the best bands I've heard in ages! It's an awesome track. If you haven't already you should definitely check out 'Love's sick disease' on their myspace.

www.myspace.com/bearknucklesband

Saw them in Bristol Fleece a couple weeks ago and they were ace live, cool vocal and wicked energetic feel to the guitars.

What do you guys think?

Pull Tiger Tail are making not one, oh no, not one, but two free tracks available for download.
The first, a demo version of track called 'Loki' is available to anyone who signs up (for free) to the new download platform from the Rough Trade record shops - http://www.roughtradedigital.com/counter.php

The second, a track called 'Mr 100 Percent', will be available to download from the band's website, http://www.pulltigertail.com, from 11 Dec.

The band also have a number of gigs upcoming, mainly with The Blood Arm.

Dates as follows...

28 Nov: Glasgow King Tuts (with The Blood Arm)
29 Nov: Manchester Night & Day (with The Blood Arm) 30 Nov: Sheffield The Plug (with The Blood Arm)
1 Dec: Liverpool Barfly (headline)
3 Dec: Belfast Speak Easy (with The Blood Arm)
4 Dec: Dublin Crawdaddy (with The Blood Arm)
5 Dec: Nottingham Social (with The Blood Arm)
6 Dec: London Kings College (with The Blood Arm)
8 Dec: London Barfly (Levi's Ones To Watch)

arrow Rex Radio!!

Almost forgot, another really good new band- Rex Radio

Download their 'Flashboy' single for FREE!!

www.thatflashboysong.com

Cheers!

Rex Radio are not a household name.
In fact, Rex Radio are barely known outside the four walls of their rehearsal studio in Bermondsey...but all this is about to change.

The guys have been hard at work putting together their own take on things since signing to B-Unique Records and the hard work has clearly paid off.
Their first offering is the impossibly catchy “Flashboy” that will have you tapping your feet within seconds.

With plenty in the band’s song arsenal, you can be among the first to see for yourself as they rock through a month long residency every Monday at The Old Blue Last, London (Nov 13 – Dec 4).

Have any of you people heard of Rufio? I would reccomend them in a heartbeat. I have no clue if they're popular in the UK or not-or even if they sell their CDs in the UK, but if you can, you should buy the CD. They rock. "Out Of Control" is really cool.

Default This Band will be Pretty Big in 2007/2008

I recommend you check these guys out.

They are on the verge of something this year with Distribution in Europe and possibly Asia.

They are 5 Piece Rock Band with a great lead singer and possibly one of the next Icons of guitar in the ilk of Jimmy Page, Hendrix etc.

They have had some pretty big reviews and were nominated at the vodafone live music awards in 2006.

Zenyth are an incredible band of 20/21 year olds way ahead in their musical ability, these guys in my opinion can out play The Answer/Roadstar and could be the next big Stadium band from the UK.

www.myspace.com/zenythmusic.

Check Them Out.
