I've been listening to some Kinoco Hotel and Boris recently. Some of the Japanese music seems to be difficult to get hold of though.
Have a listen at Vlantis, he uses a Japanese vocalist for a lot of his electropop though not technically a Japanese rock act.
I don't know much but i have a heavy interest in Japanese culture, started learning the langauge but quite frankly, English is a challenge, lol.
I found a couple of bands a few years back "the Solid Gold" - think they're unsigned, Wildhearts/Backyard Babies their main influence.
"Special Thanks" Kinda indie influenced female fronted Blink 182 kinda feel.
And played with "Electric Eel Shock" who are slightly mad indie band that listen to too much Rock n Roll and are kinda lost between the two genres. I just remember them being obsessed with Black Sabbath as it was Birmingham show.
