mad Experience of Contact with Island Records

My friend and I run the Official UK The Rasmus Street Team and are increasingly frustrated with the attitude not only of the UK music industry towards them, but worse so, their Record Company here.

We realise that The Rasmus are not metal, but they are definitely rock genre, and are frustrated that they are not recognised for what they are, which is a great rock band. We don't mind if people don't like them but we would like them to get the respect they deserve, starting with their Record Company, who seem to know much less than we do about what the band are up to. Surely this can't be right? The band are signed to them but they don't appear to be getting a product manager for them until the new album will be practically released. Strange.

We would really like to know if anyone else feels their band is not given the support of their RC that they think they should be getting? And how do you handle that? With a good start from the RC the rest of the media will hopefully take notice.

Thanks for any advice.
