CARLING SUPPORTS: A Showcase of local music

Calling all local bands, it’s time to pick up your guitars, turn up the amps and start practising. Carling Supports is a new showcase for bands to perform their songs and have the chance to secure a slot on stage at a future Carling Academy gig.

Now’s the time to wow the crowds and enjoy the rock star experience as Carling is offering bands the chance to play on the same stage as some of the biggest names in music.

Aspiring bands can visit www.carling.com and upload two of their best tracks along with a biography and picture. An online vote will determine the best local bands in each region with a final four invited to play in front of an independent panel of judges at a Carling Supports night which will be advertised in the national press.

The best band at the Carling Supports night will get the chance to perform live on stage at their local Carling Academy, enjoy seeing their name in print in a national music magazine and have their two best tracks featured on a specially produced Carling Supports CD.

The participating venues and dates where all participants will perform are:

Carling Academy 2 Birmingham – Sunday 2nd September
Carling Academy 2 Liverpool – Monday 3rd September
Carling Academy 2 Newcastle – Tuesday 4th September
Carling Academy 2 Bristol – Wednesday 5th September
Mezzanine Bar at Carling Academy Glasgow – Thursday 6th September
