Not much of a choice there!

I'll go with Chester, but I don't think he's that great. The best thing he ever did was scream his arse off in the middle of "Faint."

You should at least add Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Chris Cornell (Soundgarden/Audioslave) to that poll and - just for the hell of it - Rob Flyn (Machine Head), Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad) and Comeron Hea$$$$ (American Head Charge)...

Ive added Brandon to the Poll. As he is an amazing vocalist.

You dont get alot of good female singers in rock tho. Gwen I guess, Bird from Evanescense .... errr

this is a weird poll... but putting some of these vocalists in a vote against eachother is somewhat of an insult... good charlotte? come on now.. $$$$s garbage... fred durst, although hasnt done ANYTHING musically since the release of the very first limp bizkit album has alot of talent.. but as things stand right now he is garbage too... johnathan davis and corey taylor are sort of in the same genre but kind of seperated as well since slipknot is more of a thrash sound... but corey is pretty versatile as were jonathan really only expresses the one sound.. but he has the voice that alot of fans thrive on.. they are both good in there own rights.. but corey has alot of styles... rap/melodic/ and slightly a higher range of screaming then john does.. although korn has calmed down alot... brandon isnt really in the same anything as these guys... hes a great melodic singer with an awesome range... the best for that genre undoubtedly... chester has a diff sound as well... a good vocalist no doubt.. sort of a garage band live performer sound... good vocalist in him... but i fuggin think mike shinoda is dope

anyways... they all have totally distinct sounds.. and if your a fan of all of them then you cant really decide and say that one is better then any of the others...

i am suprised however that you have the fuggin good charlotte "singer" on this poll and not other vocalist like max cavalera of soulfly and chino moreno of the deftones..

sorry but i was a total metal head before cross training into the rap world..

so i have alot to speak on stuff like this

yeah... i guess you really have to do this by genre. it doesn't work to simply mass together a bunch a' names cause you'll just have to add on new people and the list will be pretty much endless. you gatta have chris cornell... its not right to leave him out of any poll such as this. and are we only talking newish rock? the new generation? cause if not, the dude from MC5 definetley deserves some recognition. kurt kobain too. may not have sounded great but they both expressed so much emotion in what they were doing. oh, and zac from rage against the machine... i knew this would happen. im gonna cut myself off now.

but for the record, screw joel.

none of them can barely sing, yet along be classed as 'good' or the 'best' vocalists..

Korn can hardly be called as a group that relies on aeasthically pleasing vocals can it now??

Linkin Park and Limp Biszit both rely on more rap than singing these days, so neither of them countas good vocalists..

Joel has an annoying high pitched whiny voice so that counts him out..

[qoute]You should at least add Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Chris Cornell (Soundgarden/Audioslave) to that poll and - just for the hell of it - Rob Flyn (Machine Head), Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad) and Comeron Hea$$$$ (American Head Charge)...[/qoute]

Machine head?? Umm, okay..Again not known for awe inspriring vocals..

Now Boyd has an alright voice, and as Incubus do songs with decent vocals he is probaly the best one so far I have seen. Cornell again like boyd ha s agreat voice and is in a band that allows him to use it..

Better choice of Volcalists would of been:

Robert Plant
Robert Smith
Chris Jericho
Johnny Borrell
Morrissey
Brandon Flowers
Paul rogers

etc etc

Theres good mix of old and new there for you to pick from..

I was hoping they'd go back to their roots

get everything you wish for. Don't get me
wrong Korn Rocks I just miss the days of the
self titles album and Life is Peachy which is
their best album to date.
