Default Arctic Monkeys... Next BIG thing?

What do people think? Rate them or slate them?

Are they set to give the Chiefs a run for their money in 2006???

With a new single, and a highly anticipated debut album out early next year, as well as a slot on the NME tour there's no doubt that if it all goes to plan, 2006 will be the year of the monkeys! Wouldn't surprise me if they get even bigger than the Chiefs.

I certainally hope so. I don't really like the Kaiser Chiefs, every song sounds the same. Whereas Arctic Monkeys have a unique sound in every song. I love 'scummy' and 'Choo Choo' the best, well, prettyy much like all of their songs. Bloc Party could be giving them a run for their money though as well.

Default Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys featured in the latest BRAT magazine with a 4 page interview inside and some good pictures of the band. Pretty good interview with them just before they done a gig in sheffield. Anyone else read it/seen it about? There's also an extract from the interview on their website @ bratmag.com

Although the last few posts were obviously by the same person ^^^^^

I must say i agree, the arctic monkeys are very talented as shown by nme magazine listing them as one of the greatest bands of all time even though at the time the album had only been out for 2 days or so when they achieved this

Chiefs are far too overrated...whole album is like listening to one long song!
Monkeys will be massive but def think bands such as Blocparty, Kasabian, Hard-fi and Maximo Park will have something to say about them being the biggest UK band of 2006.

Yeah, Hard-Fi are a great band too and I am sure they will give the Monkey's a run for their money in 2006!

Anyone else rate Hard-Fi?
