Alternative rock??

Haven't listened to much in the last few years (pretty much since At the Drive-In broke up)

Faves of all time are probably The Impossibles and The Stereo....

(I hope this is what you're talking about)

Default Alternative is......your alternative

My alternative happens to be alot of 80's Pre-House/Post-Disco dance music and the Post-Punk scene from the same period which are reference points for the so called Disco Punk scene.

For instance:
Zongamin LP
Playgroup LP
Playgroup DJ Kicks Mix
Playgroup Party Mix Vol 1
Trevor Jackson's Mix for BBC One World's Disco Punk Special*
Channel 2 Compilation [Output Recordings]*
Moving Units EP*
ESG-A South Bronx Story
Gang Of Four-entertainment!
Disco Not Disco Compilations
Liquid Liquid Compilation
Nine O Clock Drop Compilation
Chicken Lips Mix CD
DFA Records

Alot of funkier stuff.

*Heavy Rotation on my player.

ATDI -- nice one Dan...

Me, I have a special place for the emo-pop sound...Brandtson, Promise Ring, Lowell (RIP -- was my roommate's band), Seldon Plan (my roommate's new band).

And for pure delight factor, I love the $$$$ing Champs...

echobelly are (were) a good group

Loving Goldfrapps new album and The Thrills are sweet as well.

To many good groups to name around at the moment. Saw The Kills in Sheffield a while back and they were $$$$ing great.
