What is the best operating system to run all your audio programs on?

If you're talking macintosh, then I use 9.2 and it's the most stable environment I've ever used.

For PCs, I'm no PC expert but as far as I know it largely depends on the software. cubase seems stable on win 2000. Lots of people seem to hate xp for music. A lot of ppl I know still use win 95 because it's very stable when set up right.!!

I use 9.2 as well, and while I wouldn't call it stable (especially if you use any MS products - like MSN Messenger bloody piece of poo!), it's a good OS.

Looking forward to the audio apps on OS X tho...that's rock solid from all accounts.

the best OS under windows is NT4 because its solid as a mutha fooker for running audio $$$$e.

I'd agree with NT4 being solid in general...the NT platform is much better than the regular Windows, hands down.
