Default Struggling setting up audio in cubase (PC)

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me understand what im doing wrong. I'm not sure if i'm wiring things wrong or if i haven't set something up on the system or if there's something im not clicking in Cubase. Basically I've wired the L&R out from the desk into the L&R in of my soundcard. I've then wired the L&R out from the soundcard into the L&R control room section of the desk. My speakers are connected to the back of the PC not the desk. I am getting a signal on Cubase but im not getting any audio out what-so-ever. I've uploaded some pictures to help you understand the hardware i am using.

Think i solved the problem. I need to wire the out's of the soundcard into the back of the monitors. Kind of obvious once i read it in a tutorial. I just need to get a couple of jack->mini-jack bits and im on my way. Ben
