Default sound insulation

ok you got a 50mm gap between two bits of plasterboard. what do you fill it in with to prevent as much sound as possible escaping. few cheap ... few expensive ideas... some in between too..

thanks in advance

expensive: acoustic mineral wool
cheap: rockwool from wickes

if you're adventurous you could bring some resiliant bars into the equation.. they're pretty effective if installed right, and not too expensive..
