sample tuning..

random__guy Registered User Join Date: Dec 2001 Posts: 145	sample tuning.. anyone know how to do this or what software to use.. if u have a short sample.. short enough so that the pitch doesnt change significantly.. how do u work out the closest musical note to it .. are there any packages that do this .. ..someone must know cos this is essential..

DJ Fat Zed Analogue Join Date: Feb 2002 Posts: 543	The human ear is still yet to be surpassed by any computer/microprocessor system in it's accuracy of sound definition, therefore, unless you're tone deaf use your ears. If you are tone deaf, get a mate to do it.

JJ Guest Posts: n/a	theres a plugin called perfect pitch for pro tools which i somtimes use on vocals, but like fat zed said, just use your ear mate.
