Recording Problem

Alex UKMusic.com Super Mod Join Date: Jun 2001 Posts: 3,610	Recording Problem Im am trying to record through my line input into a programme called cool edit. It gives an error messege saying "the specific device is already in use" & even in windows sound recorder i cant record anything it says another application is recording audio. Does anyone have any ideas why?

Sen Da Elda Moderata Join Date: Jun 2001 Posts: 4,513	resources being grabbed by some ohter program or at least that's what it thinks... make sure you have nothing else running and check your audio mixer to see what your record in source is... Sorry, can't think of anything more specific at the moment.

ponky Registered User Join Date: May 2002 Posts: 27	Thats a bit harsh... Sen is trying to help you. The only time i've had that error is (like Sen says) when i've got other audio apps open that are hogging the audio drivers. Assuming you can do everything else ok with your soundcard thats likely the problem...
