Default Pressing up Vinyl - what is "the rest"?

Got this in the mail:

---

www.planetphatprod.co.uk
For all your Vinyl & CD Manufacturing & Production Needs.

500 12" Vinyl white labels in White Disco Bags £650
1000 12" Vinyl white labels in White Disco Bags £970

Just send us the CD, Dat or Minidisk and we'll do the rest

SPECIAL OFFER!!!!!! Cd duplication with on body print £1 each any quantity

---

Sounds good - so approx. £1 for a 12" with whatever a disco bag is in quantity...

But what do they mean about "the rest"? Are they going to master it properly for vinyl, or is that assumed to be done already? Anyone use them?

Anyway, just wondering what services they provided for that cost...I don't think I'll be using them as it's kinda far and shipping would probably quadruple the price per unit - I'll see what I can get in Canada...

The rest probably involves some mastering, finalising and PQ subcode editing, but for that price they'll not be doing too much. Does that price involve VAT and delivery etc.? Bet it doesn't.

I use a company called "Pure" in Manchester.

that price includes everything, mastering, processing, 10 TP's but not vat & delivery. planetphat Productions have a £250,000 studio & mastering room so it will sound Phat (excuse the pun). People like Pay as you go and norris the boss use them for cutting dubs and masters.

I don't think they make new vinyl cutters anymore so you have to buy them second hand. They'd sting you lots of thousands. A bit more than a CD burner!!!!!!!!

There are the vestax plate cutters and one by some European company (Stratzoo?) that attach to your turn tables and cut onto something similar to acetate...even these will set you back a few thousand punds.
