Default JESS AND ALL OTHER MAC USERS / PRODUCERS

What software would you recommend for sound production and recording on Mac? Whats the equivelent of Cool Edit Pro on the Mac? I am looking to use it mainly for recording sets and for producing (mainly intro tunes at the mo).

Thanx

All I use (and can recommend) is ProTools, but that (even the LE version) may be a little too expensive for your needs. I think Logic has an entry level, which may work for you. Sorry I can't help more.

The Mac equivalent of Cool Edit would be something like Bias Peak Audio

Look for it at a store near you.

(btw, do you want to write songs? record/edit mixes?)

the equivalent of Cool Edit is Peak or Spark. I like both. i would also recommend ReCycle, Logic Audio Platinum. Audiostream with Autotune plug in (for vocal science) and Reason if you don't own any synths or samplers..
