It seems to me that it is getting easier and easier to record high quality tracks at home or in small low key studios. People are opting for smaller studios over the larger ones - why?

Do the large studios still have the same pull as they used to?

What is this doing to the music industry?

How far does money factor into our choice between studios?

How far does the producer/engineer factor into our choice between studios?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

What would you choose and why?
