pauly, controllers don't have filters on them...you can link the wheels to the filters of a synthesizer tho to control them via midi.

pauly c- i believe Turnkey has both the MIDIman Keystation and Oxygen 8

in an ideal world i would have two computers, a desk top and lap top and the keystation at home and the oxy for mobile use such as writing tunes from a mile high in the sky on my way to napa

right its way too small for home use but it is nice for taking your music production studio 'on the road'. think about it all you need is that, a laptop and an emagic 2/6 or sommit and the right software and you could master your stuff professionally in any studio if you do enough prepoduction. a studio that fits in a carry on bag, i like that.

Don't buy from turnkey unless you want to chuck an extra 20% cash down the drain and get $$$$ service.......

EEEEEZZZZZZZZZ Paul

It'z a tricky one, if you want loadz of filter controllers and stuff, there aren't as far as I know any controllers with this and a large weighted keyboard. The new midiman one's quite cool.

You might be best to go for a combo and get a large 2nd hand controller with something like a kenton control freak as well, so you get the best of both worlds. But for 200 squids you're probably going to have to go 2nd hand whatever way. If you want a nice playing one go for fatar. If you want control, midiman.

Have to second Zed on the play/feel of the weighted Fatars - very nice. Tad expensive, but if you actually are a piano player and are used to the feel/after touch, etc. it's worth it. Very well built as well.

Go to a decent studio equipment shop, buy one for around 90 quid. With pitch bend and modulation wheel.

You won't need any modules on ur keyboard, buy a seperate.
