A TL Audio VTC mixing desk, but I'm not sure 10K would stretch to that.

check out the Control Freak Live if you're looking for a knob box.

Nice...may have to rethink my studio

Oh, and get everything with tubes.

And a really nice mic and preamp

I just got a focusrite ISA 430. It blows all preamps away. I thyought my TL Audio and Avalon stuff was nice, but the clarity and transparency of this is unbeleivable. It releases every last detail of your mic (and fault sometimes!!!!))))

It's great with the M-149. Using a valve mic with a valve pre-amp makes it all too "valvey" so a good solid state front end is great. The best thing is the A-D converter. It has a dynamic range of 128dB compared to the 888/24's 118dB, and the 888 is a good converter. So you can squeeze every last bit of dynamics out of everything.
