Default I had some respect for wiley but...

Why the hell is he abusing the percausin kit on the triton? So the neptunes made a hit out of it (Grindin)

And now all of a sudden hes using it on his tracks? I didnt hear them before grindin.

Anyhow, round here thats terms for "$$$$ridin"

I doubt Wiley meant to use the same kit as neptunes. The question you should of asked is why is he using the same bass sound in every tune.

no,

hes smart for using the same bass, it gives him his own unique sound so people can identify his work.

How could you doubt he didnt mean to use the same kit as the neptunes when the whole song was bassed off of it and a world wide hit! explain that to me!

Sure, When I compare it to some things here, even hiphop it's "music"

you think what wiley gets away with is bad you should see some of the things here that pass off as "hits"

the average crap US track is better than the stuff here, truss.

who remembers a girl group tune (spice girl wannabes) called "no way no way"?

musta took £4.89 pence to make.

Lol.

However, there's a fine line between defining your own sound, and just sounding lazy.

Well OK yeah but Wiley's tunes are $$$$ becuase the bass sound is too distinctive. MOST of Wookie's and Jameson's tunes have melody's etc and the bass isn't the only thing in the tune. Wiley just has a couple of snare's and dustbin lid hits. There are a few exceptions though. VCF, Storm, Urban Hero. As for Sticky, he doesn't even use the same sound in each tune.
