| I Know for sure you can pick one up at PC World stores, in person or online.
Retreating back to the comment of soundbaster cards being shabby I would like ol dirty c**t, to elaborate on this.
The soundblaster is one of the best begineer/medium cards to ever touch the surface of this world, there is no way I can allow anyone to slate this card and drivebay combination. May I just add that according to Computer music this is the most popular card used by musicians. Im sure if you use soundblaster cards with decent active monitors, the results will be stunning.
Pound for Pound this card is the tops. |

| Ah, the classic debate of
"Do i buy this now, knowing that I'll just want to upgrade it soon and make some music?"
vs.
"Do I save up money for something better, but get no tracks done for a while?"
Tough call.
In practice, I hate upgrading, but I also hate waiting
I'm at a point in life where I don't have to wait though, so I can get exactly what I want/need.
Re: the Audigy. If it's got what you need now and you're itching to get stuff done now, I'd say get it...the cost of it isn't going to break you and it's not a big loss if you get something new in a few years. |

| Yeah as a producer you have to weigh up the odd's of buying certain equipment, on the cruel basis of cash. I say start producing as early as possible, just laying something down for the first time is a real buzz, and beats listening to the radio thinking "I can do better than that". Buy!, Buy!, get producing! |
