Default help me!!

hello there dudes, i really want to start producing tracks but i don't know where to start, i have all my ideas but i don't know how to use the equipment etc...(cubase, symphs, samplers etc)

if i was to book studio time would the people who work there sit in and help with all the equipment or would i be thrown in the deep end cos i don't wanna book it then sit there like a knobby?!?!.

We hire our studio out with engineer included....I imagine most would do the same????
Can't imagine anyone wanting a beginner sitting there cying over all those knobs!!!

Before you book studio time I would recommend that you do a bit research on the gear you've got.

(1) What do you know about MIDI?

(2) Is your equipment hooked-up?

(3) Have you used Cubase or similar product before?

(4) Have you visited a recording studio before?

You can save a lot of time in a recording if you have a bit of background knowledge about audio recording.

I run training sessions on various things, but I imagine it would be easier to teach you on your own setup in order to avoid complication.

yeah nice one, at the mo im using fruityloops 3.4 (don't laugh!) so i know the basics, tried using cubase once but with out the manual its a bit tricky!!....may drop u a mail zed!.
