fat zed? and sometimes that's just wot people want.. Sunship resamples and fuzzes stuff up alot for example. so does Chunky.

i am suprised no one suggested just using Logic, ReCycle and some plugins like Battery, ESX 24, EVP88, etc...

you can make a quality garage tune on your laptop nowdays. who needs an external sampler? i am really considering selling my E5000 Ultra (more like an E6400 since it was upgraded) i ported all my kits to the ESX24 and Battery or Reason and there is something about being able to just have everything in one box that i like not to mention you can do proper mastering nowdays with programs like T-Racks, who needs external synths, etc? were i to start with nothing i would buy the fasted laptop with the most memory, a good digital audio interface, good studio monitors, a good controller keyboard and a Kenton Control Freak. and that's it. about the only external piece i think i would buy would be a Roland JV1080 and/or Access Virus only because i hear they are really versitile. actually skip the 1080 because i am sure you can probably get loads of kits with the JV1080s sounds...

OOh boy you give me so much scope to have a bit of a preach, but I have to go out now and listen to some quality garage now (of the original US variety), I shall be back in the morning.
