Thinking about getting an A-station when I have the cash - anyone (preferably someone who's used it) got any thoughts on this? I think Ransom had one...

it's future music, so it's whatever they review...which is generally low to mid range (i.e. non-prospec) gear.

I get the impression that it's what the readers voted for, rather than the reviewers' choices.

Still looking for some feedback on the A-Station...

The A station is a great value piece of kit. The main limitation is that its not multitimbral. I stuck a review up on the Sound on Sound site. For the Uk Garage sound it will have all you need base wise. Its like a cut down supernova. I don't think there is anything in the price bracket that comes close. We use it with Logic and put in the tracks and build it up, but any sequencer will do.

Nice one. Shame they didn't make it multi timbral, but as you say, you could record it into Audio, or sample it or something (though it does slightly defeat the point of having a standalone unit for these purposes). Might have to give on a test-drive when the coffers swell back up after the January drought.
