Default Fruity loops help voice Recording

Right i'm new to this stuff but i have a fair idea of how to use fruity loops it is quite easy but i can not get to record for some reason. (FL 5....btw)

I go onto the mixer and where you select the input which i am assuming is the mic it says none and no other choice is there when i look. If anyone got any ideas then please email bates2k5@gmail.com please

Also

The only thing that i want to do is make my instrumental And if there is another program i can use for recording like just upload my instrumental into the program and play it whilst i record Thats all i need i just want some easy voice recording software that will let me upload my instrumental into it and then rhyme to it.
If you know any program that are easy to use could you please email me bates2k5@gmail.com with the name of the program please

The record function is for MIDI inputs not analogue.

You will need something like 'Cool Edit' or 'Soundforge' to record from a Mic. Then chop it up so it plays instantly, save as a WAVE file, then load into fruity loops and sequence to the rest of your track
