If you can explain specifically what you need help with i'll see what i can do. I know quite a bit about Fruity so any questions feel free to ask.

If you look in the Audio patio forum, there are a couple of Sticky topics that are guides to making drum patterns, basses, and how to use plugins.

Should help you get started. feel free to leave any feedback about the tutorials of questions in the threads.

Lost boy, age has nothing to do with anything. Im 15 and I've been makin beats for a little over a year now. I use fruityloops (FL Studio 5). and I've been selling beats for almost as long as I've been makin them. I've earned enough money to step up my equipment; i.e. Keyboard, better software.

To make beats all you essiencally need is:
    An Idea
    Time
and a little bit of Elbow Grease (hard work)

If u can hit me up on AIM or sumtihn, I'd be happy to share any tips and help with you.

im pretty sure you cant...but dont worry, just get ahold of sonar 4 from cakewalk or Pro tools by digidesigns or even cubase by steinberg and load your $$$$ onto seperate tracks, its easier that way.

hit me up on AIM if you need help gettin ahold of them preograms since they go for about 400$ US.

asfar as FL goes....i use FL Studio 5 ...but propellerheads Reasona nd Rebirth are wicked too....check em out!

    Default Frustration.

Hi, i'm DESPERATELY trying to connect midi instruments to fruity loops 4, but nothings happening. At the moment i'm trying to connect a roland 303 via a midi cable, but nothing. I've set the roland to ext, so i'm guessing the problems lie with fruity loops can anyone help me out in really laymans terms. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Logan, There's a few things you need to do. If you're trying to sync the 303 with FL, you have to tick 'enable master sync' in the options menu in FL. Then you need to go to the MIDI options panel and select the correct midi out port (the one that your 303 is physically connected to) in the 'master sync output' box. Now when you press play in FL, the 303 should start.

You might be able to control the parts on the 303 with FL, to do this you need to insert a 'MIDIout' track into the step sequencer, then make sure it is on the same MIDI channel as the 303. you also need to link the MIDIout track to the same 'port' as the physical midi connection to the 303. FL uses 'ports' to link midi info within FL. In FL's midi options, you will have a list of midi outputs, eg. MS wavetable synth, Audigy midi out etc.. For each of these you can assign a port (---, 0, 1, 2 etc). make sure you assign the same number, eg. 1, to the physical mid out port of your PC and the FL 'MIDIout' track.

Now when you click on the little keyboard of the MIDIout track, you might hear the 303 make some noise. I don't know the 303 too well, so it might not work.

    Default fruity loopss

Well I've been quite lost with fruity loops and I've been trying to make beats that kinda sound like ratatat songs.

    like
    ratatat- el pico
    ratatat- seventeen years
    ratatat- loud pipes
    you know anything like that.
I'm just real confused all the time.
I try to make things but they just come out sounding real weird. don't know what any of the buttons mean or do.
