do you mean drums or complete beats? i honestly think you are better off just making your own beats with individual drum samples but if you want to get some ideas how UK Garage beats are put together there are some sample CDs out there that should give you some idea even though their beats are a bit weak/dated.

trust me, the best crunching sound you can get is to put a cheap microphone next to an apple as you slice it with the mic gain turned all the way up. i saw this on some thing on foley effects used in hollywood films, ie, how they get all those sound effects.

Can I make a usggestion:

Why don't we make an archive of samples made by and for our readers. This forum is great for helping new producers to make music so why don't we take it one step further and give them some samples.

It would be small at first but it would soon build up to a big resource.

Great idea...let's do it...

Let me talk to the other powers that be and get it sorted, if it's possible. (only issue we may have is bandwidth limitations)

Do you host stuff on your own server? If so we could make it massive. I think it should be members only as well for users of this forum so we can make an effort to get people to give as well as take from the soundbank.

There could be individual sample pages:

Sens Beats, Zeds Bass etc

Still haven't been able to chat with the boys, but when I do, you will know...I think this is a good idea, so there's one vote in the bag.
