Default Best free VST instrument?

Been on lengthy travels to find decent VSTs for no price at all, a challenge! Found too - one called Ganymead which produces a very nice bass sound, very clean. Another is an organ called RMF, produces a very realistic sound, good for 4/4 old skool stabs. Any ideas on anothers and were to find em? I've found quite a lot at:

Cheers.

I don't use virtual instruments so I couldn't comment on which ones are good, but I can tell you that there are loads to download on:

Yep, I second the CM101. They also have the SR202 (drum machine) which is also good. BTW, how ya doin' J? Still in the US or back in the UK?

the CM101 is similar but not identical to the roland 101. i use either it or Tau Pro for my basslines. good for that deep ragga bass

frankie, i'm in East London...stratford sides..

i just checked a site with info on the CM-101, and it said it cost £5 (Free with Computer Music 36)..

so i thought, i got 1 or 2 of those magazines, so i hunted around, and sure enough, i found a CD with CM-101 on it... opened up the case to put the CD in the comp... and it wasnt there... ive lost the CD

so heres the deal.. im assuming that this CM-101 makes some nice bass noises? can it export these "noises" to wav?

If so, how would i go about doing that?... as fruity loops dont really wanna do it

who can tell im an amatuer at this $$$$

You have to open up Cubase, program your bassline sound and pattern, then export it to wav (make sure you add a little pause at the beginning so there is a clean attack) and you have a wav loop to use in Fruity!
