question Bass Guitar through a PA OK?

Hey,

Our cheap bass player in our band doesn't want to pay up for a big bass amp

I'm currently searching for a PA system to put the band's guitars and mics through, but would it be OK to put the bass through the PA for small-sized gigs or would it blow the PA?

The PA will be around 300W with cabinets 2 x 150W

Cheers
Jamie

Hmm, he's a naughty boy. That's not a lot of power, and if you're a loud band you're going to struggle getting those vocals over the top as it is. Tell him sure he can be in the PA...but no-one's gonna hear him !
