I dont use Logic but it sounds like those are your standard General Midi drum kits. If you want more drum kits you'll probably need a better soundcard. Yamaha soundcards use a variation of General Midi (GM) called XG and they have more drum kits than GM.

But you would be better off in getting a software sampler and sample CD's.

I am not sure about Logic...I really havn't use it that much to be honest

I do however know that in DP3 (native) u have 16 drum channels but you can also change you dums on the midi controler (keyboard) maybe you just need a different keyboard or a more advanced program ?? (not really sure sorry)

Yer get ya hands on a EXS24 soft sampler mate.. I don't run any GM 4 sounds, just straight out of me EXS's or VSTi's.. U could alwayz go out n buy 'Computer Music'.. They not only give away a free drum programme + loads of drum sounds, they also have a free soft sampler on da CD + samples.

It costs £5.50

www.computermusic.co.uk

ps. Have u played with da Event List in logic yet? It's wicked 4 tightenin up ya midi so u can make some heavy grooves

You can always sample them from vinyl aswell, just listen until you hear a kick on its own... *record*. Also, get sum stuff off KaZaA (quick, before it closes down)... theres plenty of plugins on that thing.
