Default What new artists are you listening to these days?

    Hey there everyone

What's everyone listening to these days?

I've been on a classic rock kick lately and have been listening to old Stones releases, Janis, Carpenters and Chicago. Speaking of Chicago, is anyone a fan of them? I just found a relatively new group from Phoenix that sounds similar to them if anyone's looking for new music to check out. The band is called Eye Talk and you can hear clips at www.myspace.com/eyetalk. They definitely have a "niche" sound and it's probably not for today's music lover but they reminded of me of some early 70s pop bands and I love that stuff!

I love looking for new artists and bands and one that stood out for me recently on MySpace is Jim Arthurs. He seems to be relatively unknown which is a shame because some of his songs are fantastic, especially So It Goes and The Best Of Friends. I highly reccomend that you check him out on www.myspace.com/jimarthurs and listen to some of his tracks!! Let me know what you think!

    Hey IpodGirl

If you listen to one band this year...make it mine We're not classic rock, but our music is honest and our lead singer walks a very thin line between genius and absolute stupidity.

    Come join us x

The Greening is what I listen to a lot lately... I don't think their too new but they're getting more popular these days especially after the release of the new album The Last Tibetan Midnight... They're awesome live too take my word for it. Listen to them if you haven't.

CJ Morgan is an up and coming artist. She is young but her voice is mature. Her first track is 'Lonely' which can be downloaded from itunes and there is a club mix by Fran Cosgrave on myspace and you tube

I'm listening to 'Somersault' by The Pressure Room

    www.thepressureroom.com
    www.facebook.com/thepressureroom

The best new band I've heard in ages. They're featured on a Marc Mulcahy tribute album alongside Thom Yorke (radiohead) , Michael Stipe (REM), Frank Black (Pixies)etc.

    'Like Muse but with soul'
'Already the best new band of 2010 by a country mile'

You can download their free EP '4songs' here http://bit.ly/WiCAP

and hear their songs on the site.
