here's something that should interest someone or other...
EARS international have just released the second showcase CD of indie electronica - "sinewinder"...
EARS (electronic artist relief syndicate) was founded in january 2005 to raise money for victims of the boxing day tsunami. it was started by a group of some of the artists who frequent the electronica forum at soundclick.com. the idea was to release a compilation CD that would showcase some of the talent there while raising money for charity. that first CD was called "whirlstream".
"sinewinder" builds on the success of the first release... it has 16 tracks covering just about every style of electronica, from pop to experimental, and from ambient to drum n bass - all by some of the best indie artists from around the world... (besides britain and the US, there are tracks from artists in india, croatia, italy, sweden, romania and japan.) here's the track listing...
1 - breakbeatpimp: ectoskeleton
2 - omnisine: digital daffodils
3 - smashed toy: re-entry
4 - alchemystic: time flux
5 - the downtempo pilots: monk-n-da-hood

at the moment, the new EARS website isn't quite ready (it will hopefully be complete by next week) though the old one is still there... the shop is however up and running and "sinewinder" is available there now...
