Brown Sugar - nextone from the GeeSixCru ;)

GNotorious and I have made this one for you to move to:

    http://www.ukmusic.com/audio/sen/brownsuga.rm

    feedback much appreciated

it's still in the middling phase of writing, but wanted your highly valued opinions

It's sorta based on the D'angelo track of the same name, but the acapella didn't fit right, so it became it's own thing...

First and 4most, SICK, SICK, SICK beats and perfect li'l breakdowns.

B-line is tight, too, but the sound itself is a little hollow. Doesn't feel quite solid enough to make the goosebumps, y'know.

Other than that, it all works for me.

Funny that you give everyone feedback, and your song gets so few responses. That's bull$$$$.

ah, I think it's cause I'm a mod - maybe they don't want to tell me like it is or they dont' want to look like arse lickers

    But it's all good...

No, this is a different one...the lyric one is lighter and fluffier - this one...I dunno...lyrics and singer, maybe? but maybe mc? I dunno...ask Geoff!

The b-line is hefty, but I would prefer something a bit faster and punchier - in my opinion.

I like the piano ditty though.

faster and punchier bline? or the tune in general?

    Thanks for the comments.

Maybe I'll post the .mp3 of this sometime...it sounds nice an punchy on my monitors...but maybe the .rm file is sucking the life out of it...

To think your hiding down the street in Hamilton....

You definetely have the strongest tunes coming out of Canada so far. That is until I hit you of with some joints! (yes that is a joke before all you people get up in arms!)

On the real the tune is nice. It's just the bass isn't translating over the net - needs more bite. maybe opening the filters on it a liitle bit to give it some teeth.

Cheer Delfi - and being Roland's Dance Music specialist, you know your shizzat ... so, how's Miami? And when are we gonna hook up? I need Gigz/Ironic/Richniques etc on some tracks...and we need to collaborate a bit for the Canuck Connection

Hold it down at the WMC! Represent Canadian Stylee!

    like a lot

nice work. think i would be great wid a sort of combined mc/singer same one doin both, female?? prob.
feelin the beat, but i agree that the tempo is too slow. think about +2 bpm would do it. and fit the b-line a little, maybe just more compression, just to make it tighter.
think the piano should go away, or no not go but maybe a punchier sound on that, sort of wurlitzerish, maybe just a tiny bit of distortion... u know?
