Default The Industry DVD

So people after 11 months, yes 11 months of hard work THE INDUSTRY is finally finished! Its going into production this week and will be hitting the road in Mid November!

The Industry is the first and only step by step guide to the music business So all of you who really want to make it in this business best get you dough ready.

Its a 4 and a half hour documentary narrated by Ras Kwame on 3 DVD's and features over 70 of the music business major players (see the list below) plus over an hours worth of freestyles and extra's.

A preview will be up by the end of the week so keep an eye out for it.
So for now here's a rundown of what to expect and who's on it.

The industry is the first step by step guide to the music business. A 3 DVD limited edition documentary that guides you from making your first demo to releasing your first single with a major label.

Delving deep into the underground, it explains how the music industry works by the people on the inside, and follows the fortunes of several major uk urban artists as they promote, perform and climb their way to the top.

Chapter 3: Manufacturing
Go behind the scenes at a mastering suite and a pressing plant to see how a records actually made.

Chapter 4: Promotion Part 1
Learn about the different media platforms and how to use them to further your career.

Chapter 5: Distribution
Discover how to get your records in to the shops nationwide and get the most out of using a professional distributor.

Chapter 6: Managers, Lawyers and Accountants
Advice on how to create your core team, what to look for when choosing team members and how to build a solid foundation for a long term career.

Chapter 7: Meet the A&R’s
How to get on the radar of major labels plus meet some of the countries leading A&R men and find out what they are looking for.

Chapter 8: Signing a deal
From ‘points’ to ‘recoupability’,major label record deals explained, plus what to look out for before signing on the dotted line

Chapter 9: Your New Team
Introducing the team of people at the Record Company who plan to make you famous. Learn what they do, how it works, and what you should expect of eachother

Two of the industries leading press officers explain how the press is used to sell records and how you should prepare for the experience.

Chapter 14: Club Promotion/Specialist Radio
Find out why and how club promotions and specialist radio shows are used to build a buzz on your record.

Chapter 15: Plugging and Playlists
Meet the people who run the countries biggest radio and tv stations. Find out what ‘playlists’ are and how to get your music and videos included on them.

Chapter 16: The final Push/Releasing your single
The end of the beginning, Pre sale explained, tips on releasing your track plus hang out with some artists releasing singles at CD:UK, Radio1 and Galaxy FM.
