Default Smash Hits Magazine Closes

Does anyone buy Smash Hits magazine? Are you sad it's closing?

I remember cutting out the posters and singing along to the song lyrics in the 80's! It's such a shame that Emap have decided to give it the lethal injection!

When British pop ruled the charts, Smash Hits was its voice, its conscience and its sense of humour.

It's weird that everyone seems be gutted it's closing, except for the people it's aimed at! The power of nostalgia!

Yeah, I think the trouble with Smash Hits was that it was lodged somewhere in between the music and teen mag market... the readership was never very clear-cut and covering too broad a market was I think its downfall.

Sadly missed all the same...

I think it was just the victim of changing tastes and the digital revolution... kids want fastest access to music content these days.

hello everyone, can anyone help me find the name of a song from the eighties era, it starts with saxophone and has the sound of a powerful car engine in it. Please help.

Hi

Not sure I agree with you Sarah, Smash Hits was very successful for a number of years, I'm inclined to agree that it's had its day due to changing times.

Peace
