what do you think of these reeboks? picture taken with a camera phone which is why its a bit blurred... any comments.

they used to be white... i'm out of work at the moment and gonna do some more custom colour jobs... next project is a pair of Airforce size 9.

done whilst watching the television... shoes cost £24 from lillywhites.

custom shoes from london are costin anyhting from £130 to £180... and most of the are quick spray jobs... gonna put them on ebay and see how much i get.

ooo i like them....i was thinking of doing some trainers myself....
what pens/paint dya use to stop it washing off in the rain etc...??

also how do you mark off some sections..etc. which you don't want paint on?!

there cool........ kinda geeky but i like

1. take out the laces...

2. stuff the shoe to make a solid surface...

3. use tape to mask off areas... like the tongue. tape over whole area and scapel round areas (to create a good line) if need be.

4. with regard pens/markers and paints... you can use pretty much anything. its all about the process... so dont view it as just putting on colour.

like wise try to understand the different materials you may be dealing with... leather, canvas, plastic/pvc, EVA (midsole), rubber/ carbon rubber. these will all need different methods of application.

think bout how you may need to prepared the surface (sandpaer to key plastics) and think bout how you may need to seal the image after (spray laquers... pva glue... silicone sealants).

5.another thing to bear in mind is the compatability of materials... for instance if you decide to use water soluble paints then dont seal the image with a water soluble lacker otherwise you will smudge all you handy work.

I just bought some ltd edition adicolor's which come with 5 markers.... maybe I will have a go! Or ermmm not! I think I might sell them on eBay - only 4000 were made so they gotta b worth something to someone?! Sstutter - let us know how much you get for them on eBay, I would be very interested! Can you do something a bit girlier and pink?
