That's from an episode called "Pierrot Le Fou", it's a weird ep. that one cus the artwork was different to the rest of the series for that particular episode.
The fat guy with the hat was subjected to all forms of mind~control and assassin training but then he went crazy and escaped. Anyway now he is killing everyone who was responsible for what happened to him.
That particular scene is at the beginning, after Pierrot kills these guys in the street, unfortuantely Spike witnesses it all, and it's just a case of "being in the wrong place at the wrong time" cus now Pierrot goes after Spike.
Pierrot is virtually indestructible tho and Spike has his hands full as u can see.
But it's a heavy episode tho, I won't ruin the ending just in case u see it some day. U can buy the series in HMV/Virgin now on DVD, it's in volumes.
Even if ur not an anime fan, u guys should check it out.
Yeah cowboy bebop is great i cant stand most of the animes but its very good
