Tournament Control Due to the requests from emcees to create constant tournaments to keep their lyrical content sharp and precise, I have organised this thread- ‘tournament control' all discussions, ideas etc about tournaments will be posted in this thread. Then when a certain thought of a tournament is favoured by a majority of emcees, will be hosted hopefully by me if not, then of course the emcees themselves. Also with my main talent man ODP, we can hopefully get awards going to the winners of different tournaments, so emcees can establish themselves among the Open Mic emcees.
Tournament Ideas Update 07.02.06
Linguistic Chinese Flow
Emcees that may participate will enter a random draw to establish themselves as an animal from the Chinese New Year Calendar. Each emcee must develop flow, wordplay and punches in the style of that specific animal.
e.g Emcee (1)- Tiger
Emcee (2)- Snake
Emcee (1) ‘Cut the grass so I can see these snakes’
Emcee (2) ‘I lie with the best, on attack in the form of an S.’
Star Sign Spit
Emcees rep their own star signs. So all emcees with a star sign (Capricorn) will battle other emcees of a different star sign (Gemini). Also the verses that are dropped have to be apparent to the star sign (do your research to know what certain star signs represent).
e.g Gemini- Flow obvious of a Gemini ni99a with mood SWINGS
Great as god twinkling like stars performing great THINGS
Tag Team Tournament
Emcees find themselves a partner and have battles with other tag team contestants
e.g Tazer & D.H vs Sy-Clops & Dr Grmisly.
