Too Much On My Plate

I took time out from the game, too busy dealing with life,
Worked 9 to 5 just to survive, man I had no time to write,
But now I feel like flowing and gettin my sh'it together,
I said whatever, life's no better, walkin in my shoes, it would stress ya

Things are sent to test ya, life is hard, but if you're strong you'll hold out,
Only a few will realise exactly what I'm rapping about,
I wonder will I ever make it rappin, more likely destined to slog,
Away, All day, I'm working hard, at night I sleep like a log

Maybe it's god, maybe it's fate, maybe I'm thinking too much,
I try to get myself in gear but keep on riding the clutch,
It isn't just, it isn't fair, but still you make your own luck,
A four leafed clover will never save you from a kick in the butt

Some may say I'm pessimistic, just realistic, it's tough,
To get up to the front to feed with all these heads in the trough,
My ruthlessness is toothless, easy to see my facade,
But it doesn't mean that i'm defenceless just cos I ain't acting hard

I guess in all this there's a lesson, although I'm still flunking class,
Regrets are coming fast because I f'ucked up the past,
But still don't let this fool ya, I ain't easy to break,
I'll still be having pudding with too much on my plate
