Rules and regulations 25.05.07
Last year, this was the only successful tournament, and I am hoping for the same this year, but I have raised the number of participants for a more opening to new emcees.
Ok, this will be a triple tournament, by that I mean it will consist of three tournaments running alongside each other. Each tournament will have only four emcees.
The winner in tournament one will clash in a three way
(That means up your game kids, it’s not easy to take two opponents at one time)
e.g Tournament One- 4 emcees-2-1
Tournament Two- 4 emcees-2-1
Tournament Three-4-emcees-2-1
Each individual clash will short and quick-(Spitfire). 2 verses of 4 bars.
A bar is a rhyme:
Went to BED, got shot in the HEAD, I think I need a MED.
All emcees that participate will be asked to vote. If they DO NOT vote, they will be disqualified. After both emcees have dropped both theirs verses. All participating emcees will have 24hrs to give a structured vote.
Details of voting will be specified later on
Each clash will be voted on;
*Punches (personal attacks on the emcee)
*Flow (how well the words go together the basically how smooth it sounds)
*Creativity (how different and how creative you verse is e.g. not rapping about the same thing over and over again)
*World play (metaphors smart use of words etc, e.g. these don’t want beef their vegetarians
*Humour (I don't need to explain this one)
But normally you can tell who is better any way.
Show down, soon as you let get the word around, we need twelve emcee’s, to submit yourself in this tournament by posting in this thread.
I’ll be posting up some threads in other forums on the UKMUSIC website, but it would be best if we could get all the Breh’s in OPENMIC to up for this.

OPENMIC forum has announced the sign-up thread for the 2007 spitfire tournament, which last year was a success.
Emcees on UKMUSIC that are interested in taking part in the tournament, should proceed to the Openmic Forum > Spitfire Tournament Update/Info Page 2007.
The tournament holds place for twelve emcees to compete against each other, further rules and regulations information is further explained within the thread.
The dates of the tournament are yet to be decided, but will hopefully convenient for most people, within the holidays when exams are over.
I look forward to hearing from you. The tournament is WRITTEN lyrics.
I have post this in the 'Audio Patio' and the 'Recording Studio' forums, and im hoping for a new response, however OPENMIC is my main focus.

Rules and Regulations
Emcees names will be placed in a systematic draw, whereby emcees opponets will be chosen at random for the first rounds, after this, the qualifiers will each face each other, and forth, until the final three-way.
Emcees, who complain about opponet, or 'no show' will face AUTOMATIC disqualification. | |
