Since an underage teen, at fifteen, ready for the scene
Workin at my fullest, tryna pull this, constant dream
I remember late night, pen and pad holdin tight
Writing till the broad day-light, jus to get it right

See I weren’t promised fame, but still stepped up my game
Tried to link up new connections, jus to big up my name
But then I held back, let fear get the worst of me,
Neva looked back, let pain build a curse on me

Ever risin burdens made my soul fade away
Coz I could neva live to witness on my hair turnin grey
Buried six feet deep, could neva live to see another day
Death in this way, the onli option I could live to pay

Sometimes I see myself, laffin back with contradiction
But my struggle to survive, onli boosted my addiction
Aim higher, work harder, kept repeatin to myself
In this world, were the onli thin that pays off is yor wealth

Neva thought I could make it, yet the feelin kept me back
Neva thought I could hold on, yet im spittin on this track
Neva thought I would do this, yet the stress bought me near
Neva thought I’d push the limits ova gimmicks wen im ere

I could onli take so much, until I made the final choice
Lone soldier in a concrete world, searchin for that voice
Sick an tired of hearin parents fight, mama gotta cry
I remember standin froze at two, father nearly died

I like this, deep $$$$. It's good goin' through ya old rhymes. I might go through my old rhyme book tonight and see what I got. I found a CD I made about 2 years ago, when I first sorta started. I thought it was wack at the time, but it's actually ok. My style is totally different to now, and it sounds good. I'll never be able to rap like that again, I've forgotten how to!
